Ho ho ho…5 days to go. Great gift ideas for everyone on your list – see MadCat’s suggestions to keep everyone organized in 2012!

Here are some quick inexpensive ideas that are sure to please everyone on your holiday list, and keep your family and friends organized.

Gifts to get organized:

1. Sock organizer. Pick up two lingerie washing bags at Bed Bath & Beyond, some fun extra large clips and a new laundry basket. Attach the lingerie bags to the basket and add a bottle of laundry detergent with this note:

Remember each day to put your white socks into bag # 1, and your color socks into bag #2. When the bags are full just throw in the wash, then the dryer and never loose a sock again.

2 . This is always a crowd pleaser, again at Bed Bath & Beyond. Buy a travel kit, the nice kind that can hang on the back of the door, and fill it with all the travel size personal items you would need when you are on the road. Bed, Bath & Beyond now has the best travel size personal section, and think you don’t have to deal with the mall. Your friends and family will love you when they have to go on vacation and not run out for toothpaste, shampoo or q-tips.

3. A hanging multi-pocket jewelry organizer. This can be used for anything around the home, and not just jewelry. They have these at Bed Bath & Beyond, T.J Maxx, Marshalls and Homegoods. They nicely hang vertically in a closet, or home office. If you really want to be creative you can fill with gift cards, candy, office supplies (like paper clips, post it notes etc, or of course fun costume jewelry.

4. The calendar that keeps on giving. This could be as expensive, or inexpensive as your choose. Buy a calendar, or day planner. At the beginning of each month place a gift card appropriate for that month. January can be a gift card for Home Depot for a new shovel and salt. February can be a gift card to Godiva, June a car wash! You get the idea!

Before you go out don’t forget your coupons, which you can access on line at

http://www.couponmom.com, or http://www.couponsherpa.com

AND I saved the best for last.  Download a fee app called Red Laser onto your smart phone, and always find the store who is selling any item you are looking for at the lowest price.  What you do is open up the Red Laser app, scan any item’s bar code, and it will find the item and what each store is selling it for.  This will save you $$$$$$ in gas and time clipping coupons.

Wising you all a very happy holiday week.

Keep it Simple,
Kim
